PCT: Is It As Important As We Are Told

Post-Cycle Therapy (PCT) is an imminent part of steroid use. Especially in the case of long steroid cycles. This information is never forgotten to be mentioned by those who have taken a steroid for a long time already. Despite this, many individuals still see it as excessive, motivating it by a lack of desire to take more drugs aside from steroids and the remarkable ability of the human body to recover by itself.

What Science Says About PCTs

There are no detailed studies that demonstrate how vital PCT is. All knowledge about it is based on individuals' experience and considerations. Over the last 80 years since the steroids were first made, most users have reported a tremendous need to give the body a hand to return to its previous hormonal function.

After each steroid cycle, the body loses a high amount of muscle mass. You usually have to expect to lose up to 15% of made gains, but in many cases, this percentage goes much higher. This is a reason many individuals avoid dropping off steroids and make use of such called “bridging cycles.” A risky tactic that can lead to serious health problems.

Minimizing Loses and Risks

To minimize these losses, individuals recourse to drugs able to help to restore hormones more quickly than the body does it. HCG, Nolvadex, and Clomid are the three most popular drugs recognized for their excellent characteristic in stimulating testosterone increase in men after cycling.

During a steroid cycle that lasts four weeks, the hormonal level is not shut down, and the body can easily retrieve previous functions. The hormonal picture after 8 or 12 weeks of cycling looks different. Ignoring a PCT during this phase may melt away. You're so hard-wanted muscle gains.

One of the most popular steroids, testosterone enanthates taken in moderate doses- 250 mg weekly- require a long time to restore, up to 4-6 months. This is too much to wait for the endocrine system to return to its previous functions and negatively affects the body's ability to preserve muscle gains.

Available Studies on PCT

The only study available now about PCT shows that in 45 days of treatments with HCG, Nolvadex, and Clomid, the androgen indicators reach the pre-treated level. It is logical to follow a testosterone cycle with a PCT and get your androgen level back to normal in more than one month than to wait for 5-6 months to get it to that stage naturally. And this with less chance to prevent the added muscle mass made over the cycle.

This data sketches the importance PCT has for speeding up recovery time. If you thought to save money by avoiding buying drugs used after the steroid cycle, it’s time to revise. This iIt is not the case to save money on it, and your budget has to be set up from the very beginning to include PCT too.

Make your choice for less expensive anabolic steroids and use the saved money for PCT drugs. Otherwise, all your efforts will be in vain, as without a proper PCT, most gains will just disappear.

Proper Usage of PCT Drugs:

Simply taking Nolvadex or Clomid without paying attention to dosage will not help you much. Many individuals fail in this chapter, especially considering these drugs as equal. Clomid is much stronger than Nolvadex, so 40 mg of the last drug match 150 mg of Clomid.

The PCT begins with HCG, taken in a dose of 500 iu to 1,000iu daily for ten days in a raw. Once you complete this part of the PCT program, during the next two weeks, you have to take 40 mg of Nolvadex or 150mg of Clomid. Once you are done with it, continue to take one of these drugs reduced to half.

And this is not all. The following week take 10% of the recommended dose of one of these drugs. You can end with your PCT at this point or go for another week if you feel you need it. PCT plays a significant role in preventing muscle mass, and proved to be as crucial as an experienced steroid user tell you.

Overall

You must carefully plan your PCT if you want to keep a high percentage of your muscle mass. In the case of short steroid cycles, PCT is not a priority, while in the case of the long process,, it is essential. Not an exaggeration: Post-Cycle Therapy is as vital as the the steroid cycle itself.
